Size

The size of an ecig determines its aesthetic appeal, portability, and battery life. For some smokers, this could mean that bigger is better. That may be true, but they should also remember that a larger cigarette is more cumbersome to use. A large ecig could also be too bulky to hold in one’s pocket and most people don’t want the inconvenience of lugging a huge cigarette around in pack or pouch.

Battery

The quality of an ecig’s battery determines how many puffs one could get from it before needing to recharge. Since most ecig batteries employ low electric currents, which are measured in mAh or milliampere-hour, larger batteries usually have better performance. For example, an ecig that employs a 360 mAh battery can last for about 360 puffs while another one that uses a 190 mAh battery is only good for 190 puffs.

Cartridge

All ecigs rely on cartridges for flavor, although the design of these cartridges should be given careful consideration. Some ecigs may leak if their feeding mechanisms aren’t sturdy enough to withstand physical damage. Poorly designed ecig cartridges may also limit the range of flavors that a particular brand can offer.
