Electronic Cigarette Accessories for Collectors

The growing popularity of electronic cigarettes has created a new breed of hobbyist: the electronic cigarette accessories collector. From simple yet handy containers to rather elaborate e-cig attachments, the array of options is quite extensive.

Storage

Stylish travel carry cases for electronic cigarettes are quite in demand, as well as novelty storage items in all shapes, sizes, and prints. These include cases shaped like telescopes, those that resemble traditional cigarette packs, and cases with printed flags or patterns. Collectors can choose from compact containers with room for the e-cigarette alone, or bigger ones that fit the entire kit.

E-liquids

What makes e-cigs so delightful is the range of vapor flavors. Classic e-liquid varieties include regular tobacco and menthol, while special flavors run the gamut from age-old sweets and treats—such as vanilla, coffee, and cola—to fruity vapors like banana and cherry. Some products even allow e-cig smokers to mix and match flavors.

Functional Attachments

Atomizers, cartomizers, chargers, and batteries come in custom designs that enhance the e-cigarette experience. Drip tips allow easy juice refills, while mouthpieces can be chosen for comfort. With a lot of room for flexibility, electronic cigarette accessories can be worthwhile acquisitions for any interested collector.

How to Choose An Electronic Cigarette

People everywhere are discovering the inherent advantages of e-cigarettes. Among other things, these products are convenient, accessible, and easy on the budget. Thanks to e cigs, one can smoke indoors and choose any flavor that catches their fancy. Given the many choices out there, it pays to weigh the following factors when choosing a suitable e-cigarette.

Battery life

Electronic cigarettes run on batteries. You’d need to keep your e cig fully charged so you can enjoy at least 300 puffs a day. See to it that the e-cig you are purchasing comes with a car adapter and a wall adapter so you can easily charge the battery and not run out of smokes anywhere you go.

Treat your taste buds

It can be overwhelming to choose from a wide variety of flavors in the market. To simplify the task, try each flavor until you find one that matches your taste and mood. You can go for e-cig companies that offer a wide variety of highly satisfying flavors.

Be economical with the cartomizer

Have a keen eye for every purchase that you make. A cheaper item may not always be of superior quality. Check with the company if the cartomizer can last for up to 340 puffs with each charge.

What Makes E Cigarettes Work?

In the ongoing fight against the dangers of conventional smoking, the e cigarette is a shining beacon of hope. This nifty gadget promises most of the enjoyment of smoking without the harmful, disease-causing stuff. Yet how does it actually work?
Parts
Electronic cigarettes have three main parts: a rechargeable lithium battery, a vaporization chamber, and a cartridge, all in more or less the shape and size of a conventional cig. The battery powers the vaporization chamber, which creates the vapor from the nicotine liquid inside it through the action of the atomizer. The cartridge, which also serves as the very mouthpiece of the e cig, holds the nicotine liquid.
Inhalation
To further enhance the “cigarette experience without the dangers” part, manufacturers see to it that users can use such products the way they would smoke conventional cigarettes. The inhalation process itself begins with the vaporization process, while other products have a button that activates the atomizer.
Liquid

The typical component of the liquid nicotine in e cigarettes is propylene glycol, an FDA-approved food additive. Certain e cigarette products contain varying amounts of nicotine, while others have none at all, so you can always pick the one that best suits your taste. Speaking of taste, you can take your pick of interesting flavors such as menthol, chocolate, apple, and caramel.

Choosing the Right E-Cig Brand

If you are thinking of quitting smoking, but can’t just yet get away from the habit completely, you may want to switch to “vaping”—that is, smoking e-cigarettes instead of the regular tobacco-based kind. E-cigarettes often produce scented or flavored vapors, not the overwhelming puffs of smoke that come from tobacco cigarettes, hence the term “vaping”.
The more pleasant scent that it leaves behind is just one of the things that make e-cigarettes preferable to tobacco. E-cigs also do not produce the tar that traditional cigarettes do, thus avoiding the unpleasant staining on teeth and fingertips that tobacco cigarettes can leave behind. Likewise, the absence of tar also reduces the respiratory risks that are associated with tobacco cigarettes.
There are now several brands of e-cigarettes in the market, and each one boasts of features that can make one brand more attractive than others. Among the features a user may consider are the flavors of the e-liquid, the carrier’s appearance, the length of vaping time, and the cost. With all the available brands and kinds to choose from, however, making the right selection can be harder than it seems.

To help you find the right e-cig brand, go through the various e-cig reviews that you can find on the Web. You will find some websites with detailed reviews that also provide helpful information about each brand.

Choosing the Right Style of E-cigarette

If you’ve tried e-cigarettes and think it’s not for you, maybe you just aren’t using the right e-cigarette type. There are different styles made to fit various vaping preferences, and each has its own unique qualities.
Rechargeable e-cigarettes are complete starter kits with replaceable nicotine cartridges. Most medium and heavy smokers prefer a rechargeable starter kit over a disposable system because of cost-savings and power. Additionally, this type usually provides more nicotine per puff.
Disposable e-cigarettes are the most common as many of them are offered almost any place where cigarettes are sold. Many heavy smokers who start with this type have expressed their dissatisfaction with the experience. While they can take some getting used to, they can be very helpful in the long run for those who aim to kick the smoking habit.
The E-Go cigarette, on the other hand, are for heavier smokers who aren’t satisfied by rechargeables. Its bigger battery and nicotine tank, and more customizable options can satisfy any smoker without refilling or recharging.
Personal vaporizers provide the most vapor and power. They typically involve some prior experience with e-cigarettes and may require some maintenance. Many come with LCD screens, variable controls, and removable batteries, and are considered to be the most desirable e-cig.

With all these choices, it may pay to remember that one bad experience does not mean e-cigs aren’t for you. There is an e-cigarette style that will meet your vaping requirements and allow you to enjoy smoke-free nicotine.

E-cigs Not Linked to Heart Damage, Study Says

The use of electronic cigarettes does not appear to be bad for your heart, according to researchers from the Onassis Cardiac Center in Athens, Greece. The Center reported their findings at the European Society for Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2012 held in Munich, Germany.

Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos, researcher from the Onassis Center, added during his presentation that electronic cigarettes are significantly less harmful than actual tobacco, and that switching to e-cigs from smoking tobacco is a good health move.

Previous studies have revealed that e-cigs contain fewer harmful toxins than tobacco cigarettes. Additionally, most studies show that nitrosamines—part of a group of carcinogens found in tobacco products—are generally not present in e-cigs. The few that were able to confirm nitrosamine presence reported levels that were notably lesser than what most cigarettes contain.

The research team decided to conduct the study in view of the fact that heart disease is the primary cause of morbidity and mortality in smokers. In fact, 40 percent of smoker deaths are due to coronary heart disease alone. The researchers decided to compare the results of their study with the known effects of cigarettes on cardiac function given that e-cigs are marketed solely to smokers as an alternative habit.
